He has invested 33 years of his professional career as Health Administrator with the Government of Tamil Nadu in various capacities, including the prestigious post of The Director of Public Health till his retirement on July 2025. He has served as the Joint Director, NCD Control Program, Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project, and Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme from 2011- September 2015. He played a key role in TN Govt’s COVID control measures. He brings with him his vast experience of community work to GVRF as its Honorary Technical Advisor.

Radhatri Nethralaya (RN) is a 16 year-old NABH accredited super speciality tertiary eye care hospital in T. Nagar, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. At RN, we provide international standards of best medical and surgical eye care, with compassion and sensitivity to our patient’s needs, irrespective of socio-economic background. Our Public Charitable trust, Gurupriya Vision Research Foundation (GVRF) was launched in 2009, in keeping with this philosophy to ensure free eye care to the needy.
